Sergio has been involved in grid computing since 2002, when he joined INFN to work on interoperability aspects. Since 2007, he has co-chaired the GLUE Working Group in OGF and contributed to several standard activities. Sergio holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Bologna and a MSc in Computer Science Engineering from the University of Pisa.

Lead the EGI-InSPIRE NA2.3 Task (Strategic Planning and Policy Support)

Analyse strategic themes and trends and produce supporting documents and reports for the EGI.eu Director, EGI Council and the EGI community at large

Liaise with other projects and organisations, including industry and international policy bodies to establish collaboration agreements

Organise meetings and workshops on key strategic themes to EGI and attend relevant events and conferences

Support the formulation and development of policies and procedures by the EGI policy groups.
