Description  

The Technology Coordination Board (TCB) reviews the technologies required by EGI to deliver a distributed computing infrastructure for the research community.

Main tasks  

• Prioritise requirements from the operations and end-user communities according to their functional needs and behaviour of the EGI production infrastructure.

• Develop a technology roadmap for EGI to be implemented through its Unified Middleware Distribution (UMD) and other resource providers.

• Source components in UMD through bi-lateral relationships with technology providers in the community.

• Define evaluation criteria for new software releases.

• Ensure that the supply of software components meets the requirements of operations and end-user communities.
