Why communication is at the heart of user support at EGI

The stated goal of EGI is to enhance European research through the provisioning of a Pan-European e-Infrastructure and ecosystem. Simple to say, complex to achieve. Multi-national scientific communities are heterogeneous in many respects. Understanding and efficiently addressing their e-Infrastructure needs is a huge challenge. Scientific work is carried out within various research projects, networks and initiatives. Communities have different understandings about the capabilities and potentials of e-Infrastructures. Moreover, they are represented by different individuals, institutes and teams at various forums and meetings. How can EGI cope with this complexity and offer attractive services for European research?
