User Support Workshops
Digging into the user's challenges
Now that the Requirements Tracker system has been up and running for over five months, we have acquired a fair number of requests for new features and new configurations of the infrastructure. The total number of requests submitted to UCS today stands at 233.
For some time now we have wanted to commence a series of workshops aimed at exploring and, ultimately, resolving many of the more complex issues arising from these tickets. We analyse all of the tickets submitted as a matter of course and capture themes in order to drive them towards resolution through the appropriate channels. However, we are now undertaking a further review of the emerging issues in order to define the most relevant themes for these workshops. The themes will cover areas such as: workflows, portals and gateways, visualisation and data management. The workshops will enable interested parties to share best practices in the area, discuss and capture the most significant issues and identify the potential solutions with the probability of the most impact.
We always welcome new Requirements into the system from users, communities and NGIs but now is a particularly good time to make the effort to submit your requirements in order to influence the themes of the coming workshops.
