The European Grid Infrastructure (EGI) provides web gadgets (also called widgets) of some of the most popular services to facilitate their use and promote their reusability across the user community.
A web gadget is a small application that can be embedded into any third party web sites written in html, for example within a personal or an institutional website. The look and the functionality of these web gadgets can be customised to the researchers’ needs.
Web gadgets are very easy to embed and customise - you do not have to be an experienced web developer to do it. Go ahead, give it a try!
The AppDB gadget provides a customised views to search and browse scientific applications, developer tools and personal profiles from the EGI Applications database.
The Training marketplace gadget provides customised views to search and browse training events, materials, requirements and university courses from the EGI Training marketplace.
The Grid Relational Catalog Project (GRelC) provides a set of advanced tools to transparently, efficiently and securely connect and manage databases on the European Grid Infrastructure.The GRelC gadgets provides interfaces to register, list, monitor and gather feedback about grid-enabled databases.
The Requirements tracker gadget provides customised interfaces to browse and to submit requirements from the EGI Requirements Tracker.
