Valentino Cavalli is Senior Strategy and Innovation Officer at the EGI Foundation. Valentino is responsible for landscape Analysis and stakeholder engagement in the EOSC Synergy project (2019-2022) to expand the capacity and capabilities of EOSC leveraging on national publicly-funded digital infrastructures. Before joining EGI he was Open Science Officer at LIBER, the association of European research libraries, working on the development and implementation of stakeholder engagement plans, advocacy and policy activities. Valentino worked for many years for the Trans-European Research and Education Networking Association (TERENA), the organisation that became known in 2014 as GÉANT. Valentino became acting Secretary General of this leading European e-infrastructure in 2012. Valentino also chairs the Board of Trustees of the Vietsch Foundation, a fund to support the development of Internet technology for scientific research and higher education. Valentino holds a certificate in Business Development from the NCOI in the Netherlands and a Masters Degree in Philosophy from the University of Urbino, Italy.
