The R software

Open-source software for statistical computing and graphics

The R software is a free language and environment for statistical computing and graphics designed by Ross Ihaka and Robert Gentleman.

R provides a wide variety of statistical and graphical techniques, and is highly extensible. One of R’s strengths is the ease with which well-designed publication-quality plots can be produced, including mathematical symbols and formula where needed.

Access policy

R can be accessed via the EGI Applications on Demand service.

R uses EGI High-Throughput Compute resources offered by the following EGI providers: INFN-Catania (Italy), INFN-Bari (Italy), CYFRONET-LCG2 (Poland), BEgrid-ULV-VUB (Belgium) and CESGA (Spain).
