Can you explain what the e-Infrastructure Assembly does?

The e-Infrastructure Assembly is a collaboration of Europe’s leading digital service providers — EGI, EUDAT, GÉANT, OpenAIRE and PRACE — offering interoperable, scalable, and ready-to-use services that support Open Science and the EOSC Federation. Together, we provide compute, storage, data management, publishing, security, and training services to help national and thematic organisations build and operate EOSC Nodes. We enable researchers and institutions to share, process, and reuse research outputs efficiently and securely. Our services align with EOSC interoperability standards and offer expert guidance for onboarding, integration, and co-development of Open Science infrastructures.

What is the relationship with EGI?

EGI is a core member of the e-Infrastructure Assembly and a key partner in delivering federated cloud and compute services for research across Europe. Within the Assembly, EGI contributes its expertise in federated service management, computing, and data analytics, and plays a vital role in supporting the development and integration of EOSC Nodes.

Why do you think it’s important to be at EGI2025?

EGI2025 is a strategic opportunity to connect with stakeholders across the European research ecosystem. It allows us to present our shared services and solutions, gather feedback from the research community, and support institutions planning to join or expand within the EOSC Federation. Our presence reinforces the importance of co-creation, collaboration, and interoperability in advancing Open Science.

Yes! Representatives from EGI, EUDAT, GÉANT, OpenAIRE, and PRACE will be featured in various sessions, such as the "EOSC - Nodes for the Build-up" session on 4 June, at 16:00-17:30 CEST.
