interTwin webinar: The interTwin Digital Twin Engine: Discover the Physics DT Applications and their thematic modules

June 25th 2025

interTwin has been co-designing its Digital Twin Engine (DTE) together with use case representatives from research communities in various fields including Physics, in particular High Energy Physics, Gravitational Wave Astrophysics and Radio Astronomy.

While we have already explored the developments in the area of the DTE infrastructure and core modules, in two previous webinars (infrastructure and core),  we will now showcase the DT Applications, which have been built benefiting from the multi-domain Digital Twin Engine (DTE) software components and computing infrastructure and the related Thematic Modules developed.

During this webinar, the project and the Digital Twin Engine will be introduced and use case leads will guide the audience through the goal and implementation of their DT Applications and the DTE components integrated.

Agenda

Introduction to the project and the Digital Twin Engine:  Andrea Cristofori, EGI

Physics DT Applications:

  • Digital Twins for Fast Calorimeter Simulation, speaker: Vera Maiboroda, CNRS
  • GlitchFLow: a Digital Twin for the Virgo Gravitational Wave Interferometer, speaker: Lorenzo Asprea, INFN
  • ML-PPA: a Digital Twin for Pulsar Studies in Radio Astronomy, speaker: Yurii Pidopryhora, MPG
  • A Digital Twin for Lattice QCD Simulations, speaker: Gaurav Sinha Ray, CSIC
