TheEUreka3D and EUreka3D-XR projects have built strong expertise across the full lifecycle of 3D cultural heritage data — from digitisation and processing to preservation, publication and reuse in advanced 3D and XR applications. As EUreka3D-XR concludes in July 2026, a new webinar series brings together the key results of both projects and presents them in a clear, practical and accessible way.
This series offers a complete overview of how 3D data can be created, managed and reused sustainably. It connects technical, policy and practical perspectives, drawing on real tools, workflows and infrastructures developed within the projects, and aligns them with Europeana policies and the common European data space for cultural heritage.
Through two focused sessions, participants will explore the full journey of 3D data in cultural heritage, supported by concrete examples and guidance. The webinars are designed to help professionals make informed decisions at each stage of the lifecycle, understand relevant standards and challenges, and apply project results in their own contexts. They also highlight long-term resources such as the EUreka3D Data Hub, guidelines, training materials and XR tools.
The series is aimed at cultural heritage professionals, including those working in museums, archives, libraries and heritage sites, as well as digitisation specialists, researchers, educators, XR practitioners and stakeholders involved in Europeana and related infrastructures.
During the first webinar, Ignacio Lamata from EGI Foundation will explain how to deal with preservation and management of 3D data.
