Strengthening the CoastPredict ecosystem through digital collaboration

The workshop is by invitation only.

Objectives:

• Identify opportunities for collaboration and explore potential synergies among EGI, the University of Bologna, Computer Network Information Center at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Sun Yat-Sen University, and CMCC (Centro Euro-Mediterraneo sui Cambiamenti Climatici) in support of the CoastPredict international initiative.
• Align expertise and ongoing activities in the areas of digital research infrastructures, data management and services, AI, High-Performance and Cloud computing for coastal and ocean science.
• Identify common technical and scientific challenges, and define concrete pathways for joint activities, including shared services, collaborative research, capacity building, and future funding opportunities that can strengthen the CoastPredict ecosystem and its international impact.

Expected results:

• Shared understanding of each partner’s capabilities
• Identification of complementary expertise
• Identification of potential collaboration topics
• Planning an initial technical roadmap for joint activities
• Agreement on follow-up meetings and communication mechanisms
