Matthew Viljoen is the Service Delivery and Information Security Team Lead at EGI Foundation and has been delivering computing and data services to scientific research communities since 2003. Matthew started his career with software development and prior to joining EGI Foundation, Matthew was responsible for running the data archive for WLCG Tier 1 at STFC in the UK. Matthew also developed the data access and storage services for the Diamond Light Source national synchrotron facility of the UK.
Since joining EGI Foundation in 2015, Matthew has been involved in multiple projects developing and delivering services, has been active in numerous RDA initiatives and has led the EGI Foundation Service Delivery and Information Security team since 2017.
Matthew holds a BSc Honors degree in Mathematics and Physics from Oxford Brookes University in the UK and has FitSM, ISO/IEC 27001 and ITIL v3 certifications.
