SCIANCE
The European Commission recently launched the Resource for AI Science in Europe (RAISE) – marking a major step toward strengthening AI-driven scientific research across Europe.
The SCIANCE project will play a strategic role in shaping the development of RAISE and in coordinating AI-enabled science through a bottom-up, community-driven approach mobilising leading European research and digital infrastructures, organisations, and networks.

EGI Foundation role in the project
As Work Package 4 Lead (Feasibility Assessment and Roadmap), we will ensure that infrastructure upgrade scenarios and cooperation mechanisms are realistic, actionable and aligned with the relevant stakeholder groups and roadmaps. The final result will be documented in the AI in Science Roadmap.
As WP8-WP9 Lead, (Communication, Engagement and Sustainability) we will lead project communication, dissemination and engagement activities, including the co-organisation of the annual AIS Summit, and we oversee the tasks dealing with the set up of the RAISE Secretariat for AI in Science, the stakeholder management and the RAISE Academy.
