EGI Foundation communications specialists Gwen Franck and Federico Drago joined experts from LifeWatch ERIC as trainers for the ITINERIS course "Mastering Communications in RIs: From Strategy to Implementation." 

Hosted at the University of Salento in Lecce, this four-day training provided communication professionals from Italian research infrastructures (RIs) with practical knowledge for working within pan-European collaborations and Horizon Europe projects.

Participants actively engaged in hands-on exercises, including simulations of the EC Funding & Tenders Portal and event crisis scenarios.

The ITINERIS project integrates 22 Italian environmental research infrastructures to advance Earth system science. By coordinating atmospheric, marine, and terrestrial research capabilities, ITINERIS strengthens Italy's role in addressing environmental challenges through pan-European collaboration.
