Can you explain what your organisation does?

OpenAIRE is a non-profit, community-driven Open Science infrastructure that supports researchers, research communities, institutions, funders, and policymakers in putting Open Science into practice. Through its services, infrastructure, and European network of experts, OpenAIRE makes research outputs more discoverable, accessible, interoperable, reusable, and transparent, while supporting the development of an open and trusted research ecosystem.

What is the relationship with EGI?

OpenAIRE and EGI collaborate as members of the European e-Infrastructures Assembly, alongside EUDAT, GÉANT, and PRACE. Together, the five pan-European e-Infrastructures combine complementary expertise, services, and infrastructure to support European research, advance Open Science, and contribute to the development of the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC).

Why is it important to be at EGI2026?

EGI2026 is an important opportunity to connect with research communities, infrastructures, and organisations from across Europe, exchange knowledge and experiences, and strengthen collaboration around Open Science and EOSC. It also allows us to showcase how OpenAIRE’s services and infrastructure can support researchers and organisations throughout the research lifecycle.

What can people expect when visiting your booth or attending your workshops?

Visitors can learn more about OpenAIRE’s services and how they support Open Science in practice, from discovering and linking research outputs to research data management, repository interoperability, monitoring, and Open Research Information. Maja will also be happy to discuss how researchers, communities, institutions, and other organisations can engage with and benefit from OpenAIRE.

Can delegates see your organisation in other sessions, demonstrations, workshops or posters?

No, OpenAIRE’s presence at EGI2026 will be limited to the joint e-Infrastructures booth.
